Psalm 22:27-28

All the ends of the earth
will remember and turn to the LORD,
and all the families of the nations
will bow down before him,

for dominion belongs to the LORD
and he rules over the nations.

2 Timothy 1:7

For God has not given you a spirit of fear;
but of power and of love and of a sound mind.


Romans 13:1

Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities,
for there is no authority except that which God has established.
The authorities that exist have been established by God.

John 16:33

I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace.
In this world you will have trouble. But take heart!
I have overcome the world.

Psalm 33:11

But the plans of the LORD stand firm forever,
the purposes of his heart through all generations.

Psalm 47:8

God reigns over the nations;
God is seated on his holy throne.


There are so many more verses that I could post here that are so relevant on a day like today. I just hope that, no matter what the outcome, we will all stop a moment to be still and remember who is on the throne.
